Firehouse Subs

Welcome to Firehouse

Growing up in a family that is both entrepreneurial and built on decades of fire and police service, it seems Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen were destined to start Firehouse Subs. Founded in 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida - today Firehouse Subs has over 1,200 restaurants in 46 states,

Ron designed the original Firehouse Subs logo, which was in use from 1994 to 1998. Even after its replacement, the logo lives on — still appearing as a secondary mark on entrance doors at locations opened years later.

The original logo artwork is on display at the company’s headquarters, alongside memorabilia from its early days.

The design captured the old-school spirit the founders wanted: a return to the basics in the sandwiches they served and the nostalgic, welcoming feeling of walking into any of their locations.
